Issues

Education
Modernize curriculum & learning environments. Provide Universal Pre-K. We need the most innovative educators, flexible educational approaches (charter schools, flipped classrooms, etc.), the most current digital learning/admin enablers (AI tools like Khanmigo and workflows, Virtual & Augmented Reality, etc.). and more consistent business/community involvement.

Economy
I am fiscally conservative and aligned with most economists that prefer not to see large deficits or large surpluses. We need to invest in prosperity - more bi-directional public-private collaboration, right-sizing taxes and spending, helping long-time residents manage cost of living increases; "job ready" education and workforce training; and enabling small businesses to scale.

Health Care
Health care is a right. Medicaid is safety net for those that need it most. We need to expand mental health services and ensure the stability of our first responders across the health care ecosystem. We must work with providers and payers to find ways manage costs. We need to invest in MedTech that disproportionally impacts outcomes.

Transportation
Sean thinks transportation and more broadly, infrastructure, is a place where there can be a win-win investment if projects are responsibly funded, held to audited performance standards/KPI's, fair to the VA workforce, and conform to sustainability requirements. At the end of the day, we don't want our roads and bridges failing, and these types of projects can help sustain the livelihood of workers being replaced by technology.

Environment and Energy
We can make VA and Arlington (NOVA Tech Corridor) the center for clean energy research and development, and manufacturing. We should prioritize and ensure strong enforcement of regulations preventing the intrusion and destruction of the VA Environmental Ecosystem.
